We are located in a scenic little hamlet, nestled between two mountains in the Kaaterskill Clove of the Magickal Catskill Mountains

Come to Pagan Pride in the home of Rip Van Winkle!  

Palenville Pagan Pride is a celebration for Pagans throughout the Hudson Valley/Catskills area of Upstate New York.  The event is open to all religious traditions* to help positively educate the public about the various Pagan religious movements and to collect charitable donations of non-perishable foods for the local food bank.  Admission is a suggested donation of non-perishable foods.  The Catskill Mountains are an area of pure magick.  This year's event will be bigger and better than last year, don't miss it!

 We are holding open organizational meetings for this event and welcome Pagans from all paths to help us make this event a great one!  The next meeting is May 12, 1 pm at the Maetreum of Cybele.

This event is on the private property owned by the Maetreum of Cybele, Magna Mater which is the worldwide home of the Cybeline Revival and the Convent home of the Priestesses of Cybele.  It is considered sacred ground dedicated to the Great Mother Goddess..  This is not a secular event but a religious one with religious ceremonies at the beginning and end and as such this event is protected under New York Hate Crimes Act - Ch. 107, 2000 - NY DCJS and numerous Federal laws as well.  The Maetreum of Cybele considers proselytizing to be a form of spiritual rape and the single most disrespectful act towards another's beliefs possible.  The Maetreum of Cybele has a policy of zero tolerance for proselytizing and considers it a hate crime.and will not hesitate to press all possible criminal and civil charges against anyone attending this event on our sacred property to proselytize or disrupt this event in any fashion.  If you come to do this, you will not get your confrontation, just a criminal record and hopefully jail time.

The Palenville Pagan Pride Committee policy is also one of zero tolerance for any disrespect of any Pagan tradition by any group or individual, Pagan or Christian or other.  This event is open to all religious traditions but that is not an invitation to proselytize.or promote any religious tradition that fails to respect the rights of others to hold their own beliefs.  If you think you have the "one true path", you are not welcome to bring or express that at our events..

Both the Maetreum of Cybele and the Palenville Pagan Pride Committee regret that this has to be spelled out but the climate of religious based hatred that has taken over the United States at this time forces us to make our positions, which we believe should be self evident in a country that proclaims freedom of religious expression the law of the land, clear for legal reasons.
